IPTV on Smart TV: Compatibility & Setup

Identify your television platform, choose a suitable player and check remote-control playback.

Identify the television operating system

A television brand alone is not enough to identify an app platform. Record the full model number and software version. A guide written for Google TV may not describe the menus on another television platform.

Find the app on your television

On Google TV, use the app search and open the listing to install an available app. For other platforms, follow the television manufacturer’s own store instructions. If an application is unavailable, ask about supported options rather than assuming a mobile download will work.

Check remote and display behaviour

Open the player before adding access details. Check whether text fields, navigation controls and menus are usable from the sofa. Record any unreadable text, missing controls or overscan issues separately from streaming problems.

Compare one screen with multiple connections

Our plans offer one, two or three simultaneous connections. Count the streams that will be active at the same time, rather than the number of televisions you own. A multi-device subscription still requires a compatible player on each screen.
